Date Posted：09/30/2016 05:43:02Copy HTML I had an A1c done yesterday - was pretty proud of the result (6.4). This morning, the Evergreen Med. Clinic called saying that Dr. Walter wanted to see me... so I went.
First he asks "what can I do for you?"... well, obviously he didn't want to see me if he doesn't know what I am here for - I guess, he's asked his secretaries to make appointment automatically after all lab test regardless of results = money grab!!! Then he asks me: "are you taking any medications" - there again, he has my chart under his nose, if he didn't prescribe any meds = the answer is NO. The next thing that comes out of his mouth: "Well, you should!... if you are over 40 and diabetic, you should be taking pills for blood pressure and for cholesterol" My blood pressure is perfect (he checked), then he tells me that the blood pressure pills are also for helping minimize kidney damage. My diabetes being so minimal AND under control, why would there be kidney damage? I felt like asking him if I will also have to take something else to counteract the side effects of the blood pressure pills and the cholesterol ones!!! I am soooooo fed up with all this crap. Doctors are not trying to improve patient's health apart from prescribing non stop. He couldn't care less on how I am managing my diabetes and didn't even comment on the improvement (from 7 last Jan. down to 6.4). So... I got nothing out of that visit, except a piece of paper as a reminder for my next lab test. It was a complete waste of my time... and it is costing the medical plan $$$ Grrrrrrrrr |
